Bremen School Board Considers Quotes from Local Hospitals to Establish Partnership for Athletic Trainer Contract

After a policy change caused Kosciusko Community Hospital to start charging Bremen Public Schools for Athletic Trainer services, officials decided to get quotes from various local healthcare facilities to weigh all available options.

When School Board Members met Monday night they received a brief update about the athletic trainer contract partnership, according to Treasurer Stephanie Pittman.

Pittman explained, “Basically the hospital will provide the services of an athletic training for attendance at practices and sporting events so we’ve been looking around at some of the area hospitals to partnership with them for those athletic training services.”

Pittman mentioned that, so far, quotes have been received from Kosciusko Community Hospital and the St. Joseph Health System. She said that Beacon Health System recently began partnering with the Community Hospital of Bremen, so school officials are awaiting a quote from them before making any final decisions.
