The Bourbon Fire Department will be hosting the annual “Summerfest” on Saturday, August 11th and Sunday August 12th.
When Bourbon Town Council members met earlier this month, Fire Chief Mike Chapman alerted them about the dates for Summerfest and stated that a fireworks display will be held the evening of August 11th.
Chief Chapman asked the council members if they would like to make a donation toward the fireworks on behalf of the town. They voted unanimously to provide a $500 donation.
Chapman also told members that the annual downtown sing-a-long fundraiser for fireworks will be held on July 29th.
