Marshall County residents can learn more about efforts to upgrade U.S. 30 to freeway standards, during a public meeting tomorrow in Plymouth. James Turnwald with the Michiana Area Council of Governments is expected to share information on the project. Residents will also have a chance to ask questions.
The U.S. 30 Coalition is calling for the highway to be converted to a freeway between Valparaiso and Fort Wayne. The project hasn’t formally been approved yet, and construction would be several years away. However, local leaders are gathering information, so they can make recommendations to the Indiana Department of Transportation, should the project move ahead.
Tomorrow’s meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the second floor meeting room in the Marshall County Building.
