The Bourbon Police Department will be adding a new vehicle to their fleet, following a decision made by town council members last week.
Clerk-Treasurer Kimberley Berger said that members unanimously approved the purchase of a $28,304 Ford Explorer through Oliver Ford in Plymouth when they met last Tuesday.
She mentioned that the force will have some financial assistance from a government grant for police interceptors to help cover the cost of the vehicle but there will be additional charges to get it outfitted with remaining equipment that is needed.
