The Plymouth Police Department released updated police reports regarding the search for 26-year-old Aaron Cory Sneed and how he was found.
According to the first report, around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Marshall County 911 was advised of the wanted subject’s truck being found abandoned on 15 B and Beech Road. Marshall County Police, Plymouth Police, the Marshall County Drug Unit and Winona Lake Police K9 Unit assisted with the search for the subject.
Plymouth Police K9 Officer John Weir’s narrative indicates that Sneed was eventually located by K9 Jax in some bushes behind an Etna Green house.
Sneed was reportedly transported to the Plymouth campus St. Joseph Regional Hospital for clearance and then he was taken to the Marshall County Jail for five active felony warrants and new charges. The charges listed on the report include warrant service, resisting law enforcement and possession of marijuana.
Sneed initially had a run in with police earlier this week, leading to an attempt to locate being issued. According to an update received on Thursday, Plymouth Police Officer Stuart Krynock stopped to check on a pickup truck that was parked just off of Chuck Glaub Drive in Centennial Park shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday evening.
According to the police report, a male subject standing outside of the vehicle initially provided the officer with a false name. The report indicates that further investigation identified the subject as Aaron Sneed, who was wanted on several warrants.
While attempting to take Aaron Sneed into custody, he allegedly resisted arrest. During the struggle with Sneed, Officer Krynock reportedly sustained a serious leg injury. Sneed fled the scene in his truck, according to police. Officer Krynock was transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center by Plymouth EMS.
