Tri-County Winter Weather Advisory in Effect Until This Afternoon

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the counties of Marshall, Pulaski and Starke. It will be in effect until 1 p.m. ET/ noon CT.

Officials are anticipating mixed precipitation of sleet, freezing rain and snow to transition to all snow this morning. Snow and sleet accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch are expected.

Local spots such as  Plymouth, Bremen, Culver, Knox, North Judson, Bass Lake, Winamac, Francesville and Medaryville are listed as areas that will be impacted by these conditions.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Individuals should be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility at times. Use caution while driving.
