Culver Beach Lodge is hosting a special “Silly Safaris” Presentation tomorrow, featuring animals from the North Pole. The free, all-ages program will start at 11 a.m. ET and last until noon.
According to the organization website, this specific program focuses on animals native to the Arctic Circle, one of the world’s harshest environments.The presentation will feature a reindeer and may also include another mammal, a bird, a frog, a reptile, and a few insects to display the variety of creatures that inhabit this area.
Instructors will discuss the specific adaptations that animals must make in order to survive the arctic conditions. They’ll touch on topics such as temperature changes, light-cycles, hibernation and migration.
Though the Silly Safaris North Pole program won’t officially start until 11, people are being asked arrive by 10:30 a.m on Saturday. Light refreshments will be provided. The Culver Beach Lodge is located at 819 E Lake Shore Drive.
