Culver WinterFest Set for February

WinterFest organizer Tony Sellers gave the Culver Town Council an update on tentative plans for the event during the weekend of February 9-11.

He explained that ice sculptures will be on display and an ugly snow suit contest would be featured. There will be sledding, ice skating, a pancake breakfast, 5k run, Culver Bearded Club Polar Plunge, chili cook-off, and a survivor car challenge. Outdoor activities for children are also planned.

A beer garden was proposed, but that hasn’t been approved as the council will discuss that further with Police Chief Wayne Bean. A DJ will provide entertainment.

Sellers said finalized plans are forthcoming and more information will be available soon. The council will provide approval of events during their next meeting.
