Culver Town Council Looking to Fill Board and Commission Positions for 2018

The Culver Town Council is looking for volunteers to serve on several boards and commissions that have seats available for service in 2018.

The Culver Redevelopment Commission has five seats on the board and those members are appointed annually. Three candidates are chosen by the town council and two by the town council president. The Culver Redevelopment Commission meets every third Monday of the month. The applicant must be a Culver resident.

The Culver Tree Commission has one opening in 2018. The candidate will be appointed by the town council. The tree commission members meet on an as-needed basis from April to October or November. The applicant must be a Culver resident.

Two seats are available on the Culver Plan Commission. This commission meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. ET. There are nine members who hold a seat on the plan commission. The town council president appoints four members, the town council appoints three members and the county commissioners appoint two jurisdictional members. The board must be politically balanced.

Interested applicants may pick up and drop off applications at the Culver Town Hall at 200 E. Washington Street. Applications are also online on the new and improved Town of Culver website at www.townofculver.org. The application deadline is Friday, Dec. 22.
