A Bremen man who was reportedly found hiding under a farm tractor last week was taken to jail for possession of methamphetamine. On the morning of Sunday, November 5, a Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy says he saw a black Chevy pickup truck parked along U.S. 30, west of Iris Road at around 3:15 a.m. The officer says it was foggy, and the truck didn’t have any lights on, so he stopped to check on it. He says he didn’t find anyone inside, but he did notice “items within the vehicle associated with criminal activity.”
Marshall County Police then decided to check some nearby businesses. While officers were checking Bane Welker Equipment, they reportedly found a man dressed in dark clothing hiding under a tractor. Police say the suspect, Devon Dale Zillmer, 35, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and methamphetamine. He was taken to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, and criminal trespass.
