Local elementary school students who need some nutritional assistance get help from Blessings in a Backpack. Now, some Plymouth students will get to be on the other side of the program, according to School Superintendent Andy Hartley. “We have first graders at WDA planning a trip to help pack those backpacks and be a part of that process now,” he told the school board Tuesday. “I think that’s a great service experience for them.”
Blessings in a Backpack provides food to qualifying students to take home on weekends, when they aren’t getting meals at school.
