The Triton School Board adopted a number of resolutions related to the school’s bond project during their Monday evening meeting. In order to pay for a number of building projects the school will be selling bonds.
These building projects include a new roof and auxilary gymnasium for the High School and replacing the heating and cooling system at the elementary school. The board is currently taking all the necessary legal steps to ensure everything is handled accurately. According to Superintendent Donna Burroughs, Triton’s bond project is right on track.
A resolution determining the need for the project and a resolution to approve the Building Corporation were among the items adopted. The board also adopted a resolution to approve a lease, which will help finance the project and authorized publication of a notice about a hearing being held for the lease. The hearing will take place next month during their board meeting on September 11 at 7 p.m. [EST].
