The Bremen Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with some local restaurants for the annual Taste of Bremen from 6:00 until 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 9th. Everyone who attends gets to vote on their favorite barbecue dish and the winner of the contest walks away with $100.
Aside from barbeque, some desserts such as ice cream, apple dumplings and caramel corn will be available. Free water and coffee will be served as well.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said the event will happen regardless of the weather that day,
“We have it right up town by the fire station and the standpipe which is downtown Bremen but if it rains we can move it to the shelter at the park.”
The Indiana Ramblers will serve as entertainment for the evening and although a few picnic tables will be set up, citizens are asked to bring their own chairs if they wish to sit and watch the band.
