Nappanee Man Injured in Motorcycle Accident

Investigators with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department are looking into a motorcycle accident that occurred just before 2 a.m. Friday morning.

Police say Daniel Meyer was riding his 2003 Harley Davidson on U.S. 6 just west of Union Road when he lost control in the curve. He then crossed the westbound lanes and left the roadway on the north side of the highway, according to the report. Meyer was airlifted to Memorial Hospital with head trauma.

Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies believe alcohol may have been a factor in this accident. The accident remains under investigation.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Walkerton Police Department, Walkerton EMS and Polk Township Fire Department.
