Public Hearings Scheduled for Health Department Ordinances

The Marshall County Commissioners will hold two public hearings on Monday, July 3 to hear comments on the new fee schedule for the health department and a well ordinance.

Earlier this month, Health Department Administrator Christine Stinson told the commissioners reviewed fees for birth and death certificates, paternity affidavits, notary services, and others.  She compared costs to other counties and decided to modify the fees.

An ordinance on well setbacks and permits will also be presented for public comment in a separate hearing on Monday, July 3.

The public hearings are set for 9 a.m. on Monday, July 3 in the second floor commissioner’s meeting room in the Marshall County Building in Plymouth.
