Driver Arrested After Single-Vehicle Injury Crash

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a single-vehicle injury crash. It happened Wednesday just before 5 p.m. in the area of Lincoln Highway and U.S. 30, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.

Nurses on the scene advised the vehicle’s airbags deployed, and a man who smelled strongly of alcohol was in and out of consciousness.

The man, 56-year-old William Michael Wahl of Naperville, Ill. was taken by ambulance to Plymouth hospital for treatment. Later that evening he was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail for operating while intoxicated.
