A pair of back-to-back crashes on U.S. 6 at King Road Thursday afternoon sent a Bremen woman to a South Bend hospital after her eastbound car was struck by both a tanker truck and a passenger car.
The accident report indicates a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze driven by 32-year-old Karla J. Schraw of Bremen was stopped at the intersection of King Road when her car was rear-ended by a tanker truck driven by 24-year-old Drew N. Dutoi of Bremen.
The impact of that crash sent Schraw’s car into the path of a westbound 2001 Chevrolet Impala driven by Justice W. Duszynski of Bremen.
Schraw was taken to a South Bend hospital for treatment of leg and shoulder injuries. The roadway was shut down for about an hour to clear debris from the wreck. LaPaz EMS and the Indiana State Police assisted the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
