Memorial Day travel will be at its highest level this weekend since 2005, according to projections from AAA. That’s in spite of higher gas prices, airfares, hotel prices, and car rental rates.
AAA says 39.3 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more, including nearly 851,000 Hoosiers. Nationwide, 88 percent of Memorial Day travelers are expected to drive. However, air travel and other modes of transportation are also projected to see increases this year.
