The Plymouth School Board reorganized for 2017 Tuesday, with one member reappointed to a full four-year term. Robin Cupka was first appointed to the school board back in November, taking over from Jennifer Sickmiller as the City of Plymouth’s representative.
Since no one ran for that seat during November’s election, it was again up to the school board to appoint Cupka for a full four-year term. She and reelected board member Todd Samuelson took their oaths of office during Tuesday’s meeting.
Samuelson was reappointed as board president and will also serve as legislative liaison. Vice President Larry Holloway and Secretary Melissa Christiansen will also keep their positions for the coming year.
Board members also convened briefly as the board of finance, Tuesday. During their meeting, they approved measures allowing the corporation to pre-write vendor checks and continue using its existing credit cards in 2017.
