Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel invites residents to attend a series of upcoming community information nights. He says they are a great way to connect with the community and teach people what the sheriff’s department does.
He also urges anyone who is 18 or older and thinking about pursuing a career in public safety to come and learn more about what is available locally.
All four community information nights will take place at the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, 1400 Pioneer Drive in Plymouth. Each session will last about 90 minutes.
The first will take place Thursday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. and will cover the history of the sheriff’s office and administrative services. Session two on Thursday, March 2 will look at the jail and correctional facility.
The third session will take place Thursday, March 16 at 6 p.m. and will encompass law enforcement and investigations. The central dispatch center is the topic of the final session on Thursday, March 30 at 6 p.m.
The sessions are free, but reservations can be made by calling 574-936-5180 and leaving your name, phone number and what sessions you would like to attend.
