A local school is hosting a food drive to help families in need during the holiday season. The Culver Community Middle School Student Council-led effort gets underway today and continues through Dec. 15th. Students are collecting all sorts of non-perishable food items for the Culver Food Pantry. Donations can be dropped off at Culver Middle School. Organizers are also hoping to get a few hams closer to the holiday.
The students have set a 700 item goal for the effort. If they reach it, the CMS student body will be rewarded with an afternoon movie. Additionally, the home room that collects the most items will get a pizza party.
