Ancilla College has new virtual anatomy software, thanks to a recent philanthropic campaign. The school set a #GivingTuesday fundraising goal of $1,200 on Tuesday, Nov. 29. Donations collected in the 24 hour window were earmarked for the purchase of a software program for anatomy and physiology students from BioDigital.
School officials say the goal was met quickly thanks to the kindness of the community and generosity of an anonymous matching donor.
The interactive software uses 3D visuals to make the curriculum more real for students. Nursing and healthcare professions require extensive knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. It will be used as a supplement to current anatomy course and laboratory offerings.
