The entry deadline for the 2016 Plymouth Parade of Lights Christmas Celebration is rapidly approaching. This year’s parade will take place Saturday, Nov. 26, with entry applications due Friday, Nov. 18.
The Parade of Lights will lead up to the lighting of Plymouth’s downtown Christmas tree. All participants must be lined up at 5:45 p.m. on East Adams Street next to First Methodist Church.
The parade will step off at 6 p.m. It will begin on North Michigan Street, travel south to LaPorte Street, turn left to Water Street and south ending in the Hoffman Brothers parking lot.
No items can be thrown from floats or passed out by walkers, and no stopping and performing during the parade is allowed. Click Plymouth Christmas Celebration Parade of Lights registration form and rules for more information.
After the parade, Plymouth’s Christmas tree will be lit and Santa will make his way to the Marshall County Museum where he will have pictures taken and greet kids. A fireworks display and Christmas Light Show at River Park Square are also part of the celebration plans.
