Plymouth’s clerk-treasurer has received an accreditation from the Indiana League of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers.
Jeanine Xaver has served as clerk-treasurer for the past two years. She has completed a continuing education program run by Ball State University, covering a range of topics involving government as well as management skills.
Walkerton Clerk-Treasurer and ILMCT Vice President Terri Buckmaster presented Xaver with the accreditation during Monday’s Plymouth Common Council meeting. “It’s necessary to continually pursue personal and professional growth in order to maintain the high level of excellence required by Municipal Clerk-Treasurers,” Buckmaster said. “It takes time and commitment to further her education and to keep up with the ever-changing rules and regulations that our state mandates. This accomplishment affirms Jeanine’s dedication to her community, her profession, and continually developing understanding of local government. I am very proud to give her this award and her accreditation as an Indiana municipal clerk.”
In other business during Monday’s council meeting, an ordinance setting 2017 salaries for Plymouth elected officials was presented for first reading.
