Absentee totals are now completed for the 2016 General Election, and Marshall County reported some fairly strong early voting numbers.
The County reported 5,517 early and absentee ballots cast heading into the 2016 General Election. The breakdown of early ballots heavily favored in-person votes with 4,542 cast. Mail-in ballots totaled 848, and travel board numbers showed 334 ballots cast.
Absentee voting stopped at Noon on Monday after several weeks for voters to cast their ballot prior to Election Day. Polls will open at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday and will close at 6:00 p.m. local time.
