A Plymouth School Board member has decided to step down from the post, leaving the government body in need of a replacement.
Jennifer Sickmiller represented the City of Plymouth on the School Board. Her resignation became effective October 5th with a replacement mandated to be found within 30 days from her departure.
There are criteria that must be met in order to qualify for the position. The applicant to the board must be a city of Plymouth resident, have resided in the community for at least one year, and write a letter of intent stating their desire to serve on the board.
An interview will take place between members of the school board and the applicants on October 25th with a nominee being sworn in on November 1st of this year.
