That’s according to Starke County Extension Homemakers President Vicki Jernas. “Make A Difference Day happens to be the largest single day of service nationwide, and its purpose is to improve the lives of others,” she says, “so finding someone who might need their yard raked or their shutters painted or their gutters cleaned out.”
This is the 25th year Make a Difference Day has been observed, according to the Make a Difference Day website. It’s held every year on the fourth Saturday in October.
