The Culver Town Council will consider adoption of a Title VI plan at their meeting Tuesday night.
Those plans are being updated throughout Marshall County to put communities in compliance with state and federal law. Title VI prevents discrimination based on race or national origin by entities that receive federal funding, including grants and revenue disbursements.
The Town of Culver will adopt the Title VI plan to ensure they are following best practices, but also so that certain state and federal grants can be received. Some grant funds may be put in jeopardy without the plan.
Town Council members will also receive an update from Mark Sullivan with Midwestern Engineers about ongoing construction projects in the lake community.
Tonight’s meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. EDT at Culver Town Hall.
