Ancilla College is looking to the local community to help send students to college. The school is hosting its fourth annual Changing Lives Scholarship Dinner on Friday, November 11 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. EST at Swan Lake Resort.
According to Ancilla’s website, the event will help raise money for the college’s need-based grants and scholarships for qualified students. In addition to attending the dinner, individuals can also take part by donating items for the silent and live auctions that will take place that evening.
The event will also feature the presentation of two of Ancilla College’s highest honors. This year’s Ancilla Award will be given to Saint Joseph Health System. Saint Joseph provided significant donations for the construction of Ancilla’s Nursing Lab and continues to provide medical training services for the college’s sports teams.
Meanwhile, the Sister Mary Dolores Outstanding Alumni Award will go to Dorothy Weber. She is a 1962 graduate who later returned to Ancilla to teach philosophy. Weber also established the college’s John and Pauline Weber Family Scholarship for nursing students.
