August unemployment rates have been released, and Marshall County is reporting unemployment below 4-percent once again.
According to the report, released by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, Marshall County reported an unemployment rate of 3.8-percent.
That figure doesn’t quite put Marshall County in the top five performing counties in the state, but it does put the area ahead of most of its neighbors.
Starke County reported unemployment at 5.3-percent in August. Pulaski County reported 4.7-percent. St. Joseph County checked in at 5-percent and Fulton County reported 4.7-percent unemployment.
August’s report indicates that a majority of Indiana counties saw their unemployment rates increase between July and August The state as a whole is sits at 4.5-percent unemployment.
