The Culver Town Council intends to further discuss its zoning ordinance on Tuesday.
During the 6:30 p.m. EDT meeting, council members will revisit a proposal developed by the town’s Plan Commission. Under the initial phase of the recommended changes, Culver is updating a few definitions used to make zoning decisions. This helps clarify contentious issues, but also offer a layer of legal protections should a zoning issue head to the courts.
In the coming months, Culver will also consider a full update to modernize its zoning ordinance. Building Commissioner Russ Mason says he expects the process to fully take one year to complete.
The Town Council will also hold a public hearing on its 2017 budget at Culver Town Hall.
