A man stopped for a traffic violation was able to evade police for some time in the overnight hours on Wednesday.
The incident happened on Munroe Street at North Michigan Street in Plymouth around 1:17 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a driver, 24-year-old Aaron Sneed. Further investigation revealed that he was operating the car with a suspended license.
According to an incident report, Sneed allegedly fled in the vehicle during the traffic stop. Officers gave chase. Sneed stopped his car on private property and began fleeing the car on foot, entering the Yellow River and losing officers on foot.
An investigation revealed that Sneed lived at a Bourbon address. Officers checked the residence and located the suspect hiding in a crawl space at the home around 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
Sneed was arrested on charges of Resisting Law Enforcement and Driving While Suspended. His bond was set at $3,000.
