Marshall County residents will have a chance to learn more about Indiana’s history when the “Bicentennial Experience” comes to Plymouth.
According to information provided by the Marshall County Historical Society Museum, a high-tech semi-tractor trailer will park outside the museum on Tuesday, October 4th – the same day the Bicentennial Torch will be traveling through Marshall County. It will park on Garro Street. The Marshall County Museum is located in the 100 block of Michigan Street and will also be open to members of the public.
The “Bicentennial Experience” was crafted three years ago by the Indiana Office of Tourism Development and was unveiled during this summer’s Indiana State Fair.
It has been traveling throughout the state giving residents a look at Indiana’s culture and history recorded over the last 200 years.
Six different exhibit areas are included in the traveling museum, including information about Indiana’s natural environment, its agricultural history, and its contributions to invention and technological growth. Historical figures from the Hoosier state are also included throughout.
The “Bicentennial Experience” will open to the public between 3:00 p.m. EDT and 7:00 p.m. EDT, but the Marshall County Museum says it will open at 4:00 p.m. EDT that day.
