The first Taste of Marshall County takes place this evening in Plymouth. The family-friendly event gives residents the chance to sample food from a variety of Marshall County vendors, while helping raise money for local nonprofit agencies. The Taste of Marshall County serves as a kickoff for the United Way of Marshall County’s 2016 annual fundraising campaign.
The event takes place from 5:00 to 10:00 this evening at Young Ampitheatre in Centennial Park. Appetizers, main course offerings, and desserts will all be featured. Participating vendors include: Coffee Lodge & Bakery, Evergreen, Fusion Café, La D’zert, Mimi’s House Eats & Treats, Mooney’s Ice Cream Parlor, Opie’s Deli, Pizza Hut, Ponderosa Steakhouse, Reese’s Family Ribs, and Sugar Shack with more to be added.
A separate beer/wine garden will also be available. It will offer tastings from Angry Orchard, Miller Lite, Bells Oberon, New Holland Dragon Milk, Greenbush Star Chicken Shotgun, Evil Czech Patton Pils, Shady Creek Mixed Dry Red and Dry Riesling.
On top of that, the event will also feature live music, with Southern Straightaway headlining from 7 to 10 p.m.
