Charges against a Milford man have been announced following an officer involved shooting last week.
Alexander Jackson’s arrested stems from a July 27th incident where he is alleged to have started firing shots into the vehicle of another man while traveling on State Road 13 between Syracuse and North Webster in Kosciusko County.
Officers involved themselves only to have Jackson begin ramming their vehicles while in pursuit. A chase ensued according to an incident report, wherein Jackson eventually failed to make a turn after reaching the community of North Webster. He crashed his truck into a building.
Investigators say the crash was unable to stop Jackson. He allegedly continued to ram officers’ vehicles after they attempted to box him in, briefly knocking one unconscious.
Only then did the officer fire multiple rounds into Jackson’s truck, striking him and ending the ordeal.
Jackson was arrested and was transferred to the Kosciusko County Jail on a $50,250 bond. He is now facing multiple felony charges, including: Battery of a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Law Enforcement, Criminal Recklessness, Recklessness While Armed with a Deadly Weapon, and Attempted Murder.
