November’s General Election is bringing a slew of candidates running for school board in Marshall County.
Union North, Bremen, John Glenn, Triton, Plymouth, and Culver have seats up for election this year. The Marshall County Clerk’s office says the candidate list is not considered a complete list at this time, but the deadline for filing an application for candidacy was Friday afternoon. Each of the seats up for election is considered nonpartisan in Marshall County.
In Plymouth Richard Cartwright, Corey Duncan, Geoffrey Scarberry, Incumbent Larry Holloway, and Geoffrey Payne are running for an At-Large seat on the Plymouth School Board. Todd Samuelson is running for re-election in District 2.
Culver has incumbents Ken Vandeputte running for an At-Large Seat and Marina Cavasoz seeking re-election in District 5. Theresa Thompson is looking to fill the District 1 seat in Culver.
Bremen also has a host of candidates seeking election to the local school board. Jesse Bohannon is running in District 3 along with Hope Jordan and Andrew Porter. Suzanne Ginter is running in District 2 while Clarence Mark and Brian Teall are running for the District 1 seat.
In the Union North school corporation, Arden Balmer and Dennis Graf are vying for the Union Township seat, and Thomas Smith is seeking the North Township Steal. Daniel Zeiger is running for an At-Large seat.
The Marshall County Clerk’s office also indicates that Robert Borlik, Christian Mattix and Curt Pletcher are vying for different seats in the John Glenn School Corporation.
Kevin Boyer and Amy Middaugh are running for an At-Large and Bourbon Township seat for Triton schools as well.
Races with multiple candidates will square off in November alongside Indiana’s other major races.
