Marshall County’s unemployment rate continues to drop. The county’s July rate was 3.6 percent, according to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. That’s a decline of 0.3 percent from the same period last year and a 0.2-percent decline from June 2016.
Marshall County had the lowest July unemployment rate among neighboring counties and the 14th lowest in the state. As a whole, Indiana experienced 4.4-percent unemployment in July. Starke County remains above the state average, at 5.1 percent.
