Bring your appetite to the United Way of Marshall County 2016 fundraising campaign kickoff. The nonprofit agency is hosting a family-friendly Taste of Marshall County on Saturday, Aug. 13 at Young Ampitheatre in Plymouth’s Centennial Park. It will take place from 5 until 10 p.m. Proceeds will benefit United Way member agencies and programs that together are creating better opportunities for all people and building stronger communities.
In addition to food tastings from across Marshall County, a separate beer/wine garden will be available. Southern Straightaway will provide live entertainment from 7 until 10 p.m.
Food offerings will range from appetizers and main course items to desserts. Participating vendors include: Coffee Lodge & Bakery, Evergreen, Fusion Café, La D’zert, Mimi’s House Eats & Treats, Mooney’s Ice Cream Parlor, Opie’s Deli, Pizza Hut, Ponderosa Steakhouse, Reese’s Family Ribs, and Sugar Shack with more to be added.
The Beer/Wine Garden will offer tastings from Angry Orchard, Miller Lite, Bells Oberon, New Holland Dragon Milk, Greenbush Star Chicken Shotgun, Evil Czech Patton Pils, Shady Creek Mixed Dry Red and Dry Riesling.
Advance purchase Taste of Marshall County VIP ticket packages are available for $25 and can be purchased online at www.marshallcountyuw.org, at the UWMC offices at 2701 N. Michigan St. or at participating restaurants.
