A Tuesday morning crash caused injuries to a 17-year-old Hamlet resident.
Marshall County police responded to the area of 14th road east of State Road 17. The driver of a 2011 Nissan Versa, identified as 17-year-old Kaitlin Stone, was traveling east on 14th Road around 10:45 a.m. when she allegedly crossed the center line and struck a large equipment trailer parked on the north side of the roadway.
Stone had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency responders. She was flown from the scene to an area hospital for treatment of her injuries. The nature of the injuries was not disclosed in the incident report. Marshall County authorities do not suspect any wrongdoing.
Culver EMS, Culver Fire, and Plymouth EMS responded to the scene to assist.
