Plymouth High School’s upgraded football stadium is starting to take shape. Plymouth Schools Superintendent Dan Tyree told the school board Tuesday that landscaping work has begun and cement has been poured under the bleachers, while the new buildings are also progressing. “The ticket gate is about done,” he says. “They’ll start putting the windows in fairly soon. And then on the concession stand, you can see the shape that’s taken. There will be three sides that are covered. They’re finishing the block, they’re finishing the roof on that building, and they’re starting to put the kitchen on the inside.”
He says the restroom interiors have been painted, the roofs are in place, and the fixtures are about to be installed. At the press box, electricity and Internet service has been connected.
However, the bleacher installers still have to do some punch list work, such as installing the bleacher jersey. Tyree says the project is still on track to be ready for the first home football game on August 19.
Meanwhile, he says work has also been coming along on the addition to the corporation’s administration building, after a water pipe had to be moved out of the way, “Right now, there hasn’t been any work done in the last several days because we’re waiting on the lift to put the roof trusses up so they can be put in place, and as soon as that comes, then we’ll be able to continue working on this building.”
The estimated completion date for the administration building is still November 1.
