A critically acclaimed country singer will be performing in Culver on Friday.
Michaela Anne will be playing a two-hour set at the Lakehouse Grille as part of an effort to promote the Culver Farmer’s Market. Anne has received accolades from the New York Times, Rolling Stone, and the Village Voice for her singing and songwriting abilities.
Though she resides in Nashville, Tennessee; Anne has been an invited performer and speaker at Culver Military Academies in the past. Her father, Captain Mike Neller, happens to be the Commandant of Cadets at the boarding school.
This will be her first public performance in the lake community which will be a stop off on her band’s tour of the east and west coasts. Friday’s performance will be a solo act featuring her and a her guitar.
According to Anne’s biography, she has released three albums – which have been described as a mix of honky-tonkers and ballads.
Michaela Anne will be performing from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. EST at the restaurant.
