Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges, Two Arrests

arrestsA Chicago man and a Plymouth woman face methamphetamine-related charges following a Tuesday morning K9 assisted traffic stop. Plymouth Police pulled the vehicle over at the intersection of North and Center Streets, according to the incident report. The officer knew one of the people in the vehicle, 33-year-old Rhiannah David of Plymouth, was wanted on a warrant for possession of chemical reagents with intent to manufacture

K9 Jax reportedly indicated the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. The other occupant, 35-year-old Nikolas Gonzalez of Chicago, was removed from the car and searched. Officers reportedly found a small bottle of meth and drug paraphernalia. The report indicates Gonzalez took off running but was apprehended a short time later.

Gonzalez was booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of dealing in and possession of methamphetamine, operating under the influence of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
