The Indiana State Department of Agriculture is accepting submissions for its 9th annual photo contest through the end of the month. It is open to the general public and was established to showcase the hard work and contributions of Hoosier farmers.
Winning photographs will be featured at this year’s Indiana State Fair. Each contestant can submit up to five horizontal or vertical digital photos. Each must be accompanied by an entry form and is due by June 30, 2016.
Participants are encouraged to submit photos that reflect the wide array of agriculture. Contest categories include: Conservation, Agritourism, Faces of Agriculture and On the Farm. All photos must be taken in the state by current Indiana residents.
Winning photos will also be featured in the Offices of the Lt. Governor’s Family of Business in Indianapolis. Winners will also be special guests during the Celebration of Agriculture on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016 from 3:30 until 5 p.m. in the Normandy Barn during the Indiana State Fair.
