The Plymouth Community School Corporation has decided to continue using the services of al alternative education program for some of its students.
Like many schools in the immediate area, Plymouth contracts with “The Crossing” to provide a learning environment that may be more suited to students that otherwise may not succeed in a traditional learning environment.
A two-year extension of that contract was proposed to the School Board on Tuesday night. According to the discussion, no major language changes were proposed between the original contract and the extension.
Plymouth provides 15 students that meet the criteria to The Crossing. The school corporation says it is consistently on the lookout for students who may be best served in that environment.
The Crossing is graduating five students on Friday through the Plymouth school corporation.
School board members approved the contract extension, unanimously.
