Marshall County Clerk Debbie Vandemark will return to a leadership position within the Association of Indiana Counties.
The AIC is a nonprofit that works for the betterment of government at the county level.
The association divides the state by six regions and according to a press release, Vandemark will serve as president of the Northwest Indiana District. It encompasses 16 counties in total, including: Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Starke, and Marshall Counties.
A meeting held with district members last month elected representatives to the organization’s various offices. Vandemark was previously serving as the group’s president prior to her re-election.
In addition, Vandemark serves on the AIC’s statewide board of directors. The board determines policies and legislative goals for the association.
