The lack of a handgun license has landed a Florida man in jail in Marshall County.
25-year-old Matthew Banaszak was the passenger of a 2009 Ford passenger car when it was stopped by police for speeding in the area of U.S. 31 and 13th road.
Further investigation revealed that Banaszak was in possession of a firearm, but was without a license at the time of the traffic stop. Officers also located cannabis on his person. He was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he is facing charges of Carrying a Handgun without a license and Possession of Marijuana.
