A major construction project in Culver is officially behind schedule.
During Tuesday’s Culver Town Council meeting, it was discussed for information purposes that the work on Lakeshore Drive is running behind. The work was expected to be done by May 1st according to the contract.
Concrete and sewer work has been ongoing at the site for several months in the community, rerouting traffic and limiting access to the area. The Town of Culver expects not to release their final payments until the work has been completed.
Representatives for the Town overseeing the work have spotted a few areas in need of repair prior to signing off on the project. Now the contract is starting to take care of items on the “punch list.”
There are no estimates for when the work is expected to be finalized. The Town Council was hoping the work would be done before homeowners began frequenting the community for the summer.
