A sobriety checkpoint will be conducted by the Indiana State Police in Elkhart County on Friday.
The Bremen Post will conduct the checkpoint during the evening hours in conjunction with the national Click-it or Ticket campaign. The location of the sobriety checkpoint is not being disclosed at this time.
Indiana State Police will join more than 250 law enforcement agencies around the state to conduct high visibility patrols around the state. If you’re traveling through the area and happen to be stopped, officers suggest having your license and vehicle registration available to help speed the process along.
The sobriety checkpoints are designed to apprehend impaired drivers and as a deterrent to motorists thinking about getting behind the wheel with one too many in their system.
