Today is the day work begins on a bridge on U.S. 30 just west of Hamlet.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says one lane in either direction of travel on the highway between County Road 300 East and U.S. 35 will be closed for resurfacing and reconstruction. That bridge carries over Robbins Ditch.
Lane closures will start today and continue until the middle of September according to INDOT. That’s when the work is expected to be completed. One 11 foot lane will still be available for passing traffic in either direction of travel.
Motorists passing through the area will be able to track the progress of construction work on INDOT’s Trafficwise Information Service.
