The Marshall County Commissioners will consider extended tax hours during their Monday morning meeting.
Treasurer Penny Lukebill will be requesting the hours change to allow local taxpayers an opportunity to pay their property tax bills at the county offices. Extended hours are typical leading up to the due dates for property taxes.
Local Forester Bruce Wakeland will also discuss the management of Memorial Forest. Wakeland has appeared before the commissioners in the past to discuss the forests management and providing common spaces for the public to enjoy nature in Marshall County. Typically, dead trees are removed and sold for timber. Those revenues are used for the management of the county’s forested areas.
This morning’s meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Marshall County Building.
